# WhaleRoom Explained

4 rooms have been created on SENTR3 to house the WhaleRoom community that is token-gated via the WHL social token and/or WHLC access token. The 5th room is open to the general public.

These rooms are open to holders of WHL social tokens and are a great place to network with other like-minded Web3 enthusiasts, make new friends, discuss the latest industry news, and provide feedback to the founders of SENTR3.

**The social tokens can be used to:**

* Access official community VIP rooms (LITE/PRO/PRIME/APEX)
* Unlock enhanced in-app hidden functionality
* Unlock Sent3 hosting discounts
* Community-related governance voting

Sentr3's suite of apps have been built from the ground up to make it easy for creators and brands to manage token-gated experiences for their communities and/or customers. The WhaleRoom community is the first test case deployed on the Sentr3 platform.

#### What is proof of ownership?

* Our system protocol checks each member wallet balance to ensure they are cryptographically proven to quality to enter a specific room or unlock a feature.
* In the community, we refer to this authentication process as "Proof of Ownership".

#### Other fun facts about WHL social tokens

* WHL social tokens are available to anyone without any conditions.
* During the community genesis, all 1 million tokens were published to a public UNI-V2 pool.
* Anyone is free to incorporate WHL social tokens into their project or business as access cards
* The WhaleRoom community is fueled by the sum of its participants partaking in discussion, planning events, and discussing the future of Web3. All tokens are in community hands.
